On laptops US vendor Dell XPS 15 line showed a root certificate that has the same key and password to all the laptops, which means a potential hazard to users.
The certificate found is called eDellRoot. The comparison showed that other laptops have the same certificate with the same password (- �dell�).
Recall that in early 2015, the situation was similar to Chinese manufacturer Lenovo laptop series IdeaPad, where they found the program Superfish, is inserted into a web page advertising. At the same time, according to some reports, the program is physically located in the BIOS flash , where installed after the installation of the system, making any reinstallation meaningless. The only option was to use Linux.
It is now known that from Dell conducted an internal investigation into the incident, but its results have not yet been reported.
